About MHT CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test)
The Maharashtra Health and Technical Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) is a state-level entrance exam conducted annually by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra. It is the mandatory entrance examination for admission into undergraduate courses such as B.E./B.Tech, B.Pharm, Pharm.D, and Agriculture programs offered by government, government-aided, and private institutes across Maharashtra. The exam is conducted online (Computer-Based Test) and evaluates candidates in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology, depending on the course applied for.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit No upper age limit. Candidates must satisfy the age criteria prescribed by the respective courses (if any). Educational Qualification Must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 (HSC) or an equivalent exam. Required subjects: For Engineering: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics For Pharmacy: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology Minimum Marks General Category: Minimum 45% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology. Reserved Category (Maharashtra State): Minimum 40% aggregate. Nationality Indian Nationals only are eligible. OCI/PIO candidates may apply as per latest Maharashtra CET Cell guidelines.

The MHT CET syllabus is based on the Maharashtra State Board Class 11 & 12 curriculum. Class 11 (20% Weightage) Physics: Motion, Gravitation, Thermal Properties, Oscillations Chemistry: Basic Concepts, Redox, Hydrocarbons Maths: Trigonometry, Vectors, Straight Lines Biology: Diversity, Plant Morphology, Biomolecules Class 12 (80% Weightage) Physics: Electrostatics, Magnetism, Optics, Modern Physics Chemistry: Solid State, Thermodynamics, p-block, Organic Chemistry Maths: Calculus, Algebra, Probability, Matrices Biology: Genetics, Biotechnology, Human Physiology, Ecology
How to Apply
MHT CET application is completed online on the official CET Cell portal. 1. Prerequisites (Documents Required) Passport-size photograph (JPG, 20–50 KB) Signature (JPG, 10–20 KB) Class 10 & 12 mark sheets Category certificate (if applicable) Domicile certificate (for Maharashtra candidates) Valid ID proof (Aadhaar/Passport/Voter ID) 2. Step-by-Step Process Step 1 – Registration Visit: https://cetcell.mahacet.org/ Create account using email and mobile number Verify via OTP Step 2 – Fill Application Form Enter personal, category, address, and academic details Choose exam group: PCM / PCB / Both Select preferred exam centers Step 3 – Upload Documents Upload photo, signature, certificates as per format Step 4 – Application Fee Payment Pay online using UPI/Net Banking/Debit/Credit card. Step 5 – Download Confirmation Page Save & print at least 3–4 copies.
