What is the eligibility for B.Tech CSE?
For admission through Maharashtra's CAP, you must have passed 12th (HSC) or an equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, plus one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, Information Technology or another listed technical or vocational subject. The minimum is 45% aggregate in these subjects (40% for backward-class and PwD candidates from Maharashtra), along with a valid MHT CET (PCM) or JEE Main score.
- Students who studied PCB without Mathematics are not eligible for B.Tech admission through CAP.
- Engineering diploma holders can join directly in the second year through Direct Second Year (DSE) admission.

How does B.Tech CSE admission work in Maharashtra?
- Register and appear for MHT CET (PCM) on the State CET Cell portal, and for JEE Main if you are also aiming for NITs or IIITs.
- Check your percentile when the results are declared.
- Register for engineering CAP on the CET Cell admission portal and upload your documents.
- Complete document verification and check your name and merit number in the provisional and final merit lists.
- Fill the option form with colleges and branches in order of preference. This is where you choose between CSE, AI and Data Science, IT and related branches.
- Respond to each allotment: accept (freeze) the seat, or keep it while trying for a better choice in the next round, and report to the college before the deadline.
- Seats left vacant after the CAP rounds are filled through institute-level rounds.

What MHT CET percentile do I need for CSE?
